Description
These Valentine’s Day Truffles are a delightful treat combining the rich flavors of vanilla Oreos and creamy white chocolate. With easy preparation and no baking required, they make a perfect gift or dessert for loved ones.
Ingredients
Scale
- 36 vanilla oreos about 15 ounces
- 1 8- ounce block cream cheese softened
- 14–16 ounces white chocolate melts
- red oil-based food coloring optional (or powdered)
- sprinkles optional
Instructions
- Prepare a sheet pan with parchment paper that fits in your freezer or fridge.
- Place Oreos in a food processor and process in 10-second intervals until fine crumbs form.
- Move cookie crumbs to a mixing bowl, add cream cheese, and combine thoroughly using your hands.
- Using a 1.5-tablespoon cookie scoop, make truffles and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Roll them into smooth balls and freeze for 30 minutes or refrigerate for an hour.
- Melt white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 20-second intervals, stirring in between, or use a double boiler to melt gently over simmering water.
- If desired, add red food coloring to the melted chocolate gradually until achieving the preferred color.
- Dip each truffle into the melted chocolate using a fork, ensuring it is fully coated, then tap off any excess chocolate and place back on the sheet.
- If adding drizzle, chill truffles for about 10 minutes before decorating as needed.
- Add sprinkles while the chocolate is still wet, then let the chocolate set on the counter for about 2 hours.
Notes
Ensure cream cheese is at room temperature for easy mixing.
If you prefer a different flavor, try using dark or milk chocolate instead of white chocolate.
