- 1 1/3 cups powdered sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla bean paste or extract
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 to 1 1/2 lbs strawberries (cut into half lengthwise)
- 1/4 to 1/3 cup sugar
Instructions
- Add mini pretzels to a food processor and pulse until they form fine crumbs, leaving some small pieces for texture.
- Alternatively, crush pretzels in a zip-top bag using a rolling pin or heavy object until fine crumbs are formed.
- In a medium bowl, mix crushed pretzels, melted butter, and granulated sugar until coated.
- Press the mixture into the bottom and sides of a 9-inch pie dish, packing it tightly.
- Chill the pressed crust in the refrigerator for 25 minutes or in the freezer for 10-25 minutes until firm.
Notes
This pie can be made a day in advance; just keep it refrigerated until serving.
Use fresh strawberries for the best flavor and presentation.
