Description

  • pounds chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup avocado oil
  • 3 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne powder
  • 1 each chili in adobo sauce, seeds removed and minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 whole lime

Instructions

  1. Trim any excess fat or tendons from the chicken breasts.
  2. Place the chicken in a freezer bag or between two sheets of plastic wrap and tenderize using a meat mallet or rolling pin.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the avocado oil, lime juice, garlic, brown sugar, chili powder, cumin, cayenne, and minced chili until well combined.
  4. Pour the marinade over the chicken and ensure all sides are evenly coated.
  5. Refrigerate the chicken to marinate for at least 2 hours, or up to 24 hours.

Notes
