- 4½ pounds pork shoulder
- 2 tablespoons paprika
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- ½ teaspoon cumin
- 1 yellow onion, diced
- 4 garlic cloves, chopped
- 1 orange, juiced
Instructions
- Make the spice rub by mixing paprika, oregano, salt, pepper, and cumin in a small bowl. Rub the spice blend generously over the pork shoulder.
- Place the pork shoulder in the slow cooker. Add diced onion, chopped garlic, and orange juice on top.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours until the pork shreds easily with two forks. Transfer to a cutting board, shred, and return to the juices in the slow cooker.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the pork shoulder in the spice rub overnight.
