Description

This Slow Cooker Pulled Pork features tender, juicy pork shoulder with a savory blend of spices, perfect for quick dinners or gatherings. It’s easy to prepare and requires minimal effort, making it a go-to for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • pounds pork shoulder
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • ½ teaspoon cumin
  • 1 yellow onion, diced
  • 4 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1 orange, juiced

Instructions

  1. Make the spice rub by mixing paprika, oregano, salt, pepper, and cumin in a small bowl. Rub the spice blend generously over the pork shoulder.
  2. Place the pork shoulder in the slow cooker. Add diced onion, chopped garlic, and orange juice on top.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours until the pork shreds easily with two forks. Transfer to a cutting board, shred, and return to the juices in the slow cooker.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the pork shoulder in the spice rub overnight.
Serve with your choice of BBQ sauce for added richness.
This dish pairs well with coleslaw and potato buns.
