Ingredients
Scale
- 30 Oreo cookies
- 4 Tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 3 – 8 ounce packages cream cheese, softened
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup all purpose flour
- 3 large eggs
- red & blue gel food colors
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325 degrees F and line a 9×13 inch baking pan with foil.
- In a food processor, crush the Oreo cookies (cream included) until they turn into crumbs.
- Mix the cookie crumbs with melted butter thoroughly, then press the mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan. Bake for 10 minutes and let it cool.
- On the bottom rack of the oven, place a large baking sheet filled halfway with water to create steam, and let the oven preheat again.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and granulated sugar until creamy and smooth. Mix in sour cream, vanilla extract, and flour, beating until combined.
- Add the eggs and gently beat until just mixed.
- Divide the batter into three bowls. Use the gel food colors to tint two of them red and blue while keeping one bowl plain.
- Spoon the layers evenly over the crust, alternating the colored mixtures. Use a butter knife to swirl the colors gently for a marbled effect without overmixing.
- Place the cheesecake pan on the oven rack above the water-filled baking sheet and bake for 45 to 50 minutes. Once done, remove it from the oven and set on a wire rack.
- Allow the cheesecake to cool for 1 hour on the counter, then refrigerate for 4 to 6 hours before serving.
- Cut into squares and enjoy, adding whipped cream and sprinkles if desired.
Notes
Ensure the cream cheese is softened for a smooth batter.
Swirling colors should be done gently to maintain the color separation.
Refrigerate for a longer time for better flavor enhancement.
