Description

These Peach Crumb Bars combine fresh peaches with a buttery crust and a crumbly topping, making for a delightful dessert that’s easy to prepare and perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 5 cups peaches, peeled and diced
  • ⅓ cup light brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¾ cup old-fashioned oats
  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup packed light brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Line a 9-inch square baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on two sides for easy removal.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the melted butter, sugar, and vanilla extract until well mixed.
  3. Add in the flour and salt, mixing until a soft dough is formed.
  4. Press the dough evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  5. Bake for 15 minutes, or until the edges start to turn lightly golden.

Notes

Feel free to leave the peach skins on if you prefer a more rustic texture.
These bars can be served warm or chilled for a refreshing treat.
You can add nuts to the crumb topping for extra crunch.
