Description

This Peach Crisp is a delightful blend of juicy peaches and a crunchy oat topping, offering an easy homemade dessert that’s perfect for gatherings or a cozy night in. With minimal prep and delicious flavors, it’s a must-try for dessert lovers!


Ingredients

  • 3 pounds ripe peaches peeled, pitted and cut into 8 pieces
  • 2/3 cup white granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons corn starch
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¾ cup dark brown sugar packed
  • ¾ cup white all-purpose flour
  • 2/3 cup old fashioned rolled oats
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
  • ½ stick salted butter cut into very small pieces

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Grease a 9-inch baking dish with non-stick spray and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, combine sliced peaches with sugar, toss to coat and set aside.
  4. In a medium bowl, combine brown sugar, flour, rolled oats, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  5. Add butter to the dry mixture and mix until coarse crumbs form.
  6. In the bowl of peaches, mix in vanilla, cornstarch, cinnamon, and salt until all slices are coated.
  7. Transfer the peaches to the prepared baking dish.
  8. Spread the crumb topping evenly over the peaches.
  9. Bake for 45-50 minutes until the topping is golden brown and juices are bubbling around the edges.
  10. Let it cool for 15 minutes before serving.
  11. Optional: Serve with vanilla ice cream and mint.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding a dash of lemon juice to the peaches before baking.
