Description

This Peach Cobbler is a delightful dessert featuring juicy peach slices and a sweet, buttery topping. Its simple preparation and comforting flavors make it perfect for family gatherings or a cozy night in, complete with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups fresh peach slices peeled
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • pinch of salt
  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and spray a 9×13 baking dish with nonstick spray.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine the sliced peaches with the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and a pinch of salt. Cook over medium heat for about 3–4 minutes, until the sugar melts and the mixture is warm and juicy.
  3. Pour the melted butter into the bottom of the prepared baking dish without stirring it in.
  4. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, 1 cup of sugar, baking powder, salt, and milk until smooth. Pour this mixture into the pan over the butter without stirring.
  5. Gently spoon the peaches over the batter, spacing them evenly, ensuring some juice is included. Sprinkle the brown sugar and cinnamon on top.
  6. Bake the cobbler for 38–42 minutes or until the top is golden and bubbling around the edges.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before serving warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Notes

For a thicker cobbler, reduce the amount of milk slightly.
Using fresh peaches in season will enhance the flavor tremendously.
Best served warm, especially with ice cream!
