Description

This Parmesan Crusted Chicken features irresistible flavors and is easy to prepare. With a delicious blend of parmesan and provolone, it’s perfect for a quick dinner or a comforting meal at home.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts cut in half lengthwise
  • ¾ cup grated parmesan cheese divided
  • ½ cup shredded provolone cheese
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter melted and divided
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt or to taste
  • ½ teaspoon pepper or to taste
  • ½ cup panko breadcrumbs

Instructions

  1. Preheat a grill pan over medium-high heat.
  2. In a small mixing bowl, combine 4 tablespoons of melted butter, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Brush the chicken breasts with this mixture.
  3. Place the chicken on the grill pan and cook for 3-4 minutes, then flip them over.
  4. In another mixing bowl, combine ½ cup of parmesan cheese and provolone cheese.
  5. Top the chicken with the cheese mixture and grill for an additional 3-4 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  6. Remove the chicken and place it on a foil-lined baking sheet.
  7. Preheat the oven’s broiler on high.
  8. In a separate bowl, mix panko breadcrumbs with the remaining ¼ cup parmesan cheese and 2 tablespoons melted butter, then sprinkle it over the chicken.
  9. Broil for 1-2 minutes until the breadcrumbs are golden and crispy, watching closely to avoid burning.
  10. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For added flavor, consider marinating the chicken breasts before grilling.
Using fresh grated cheese can enhance the dish’s flavor and texture.
Serve with a side salad or roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
