- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 ½ cups butter (softened)

- 2–3 tbsp milk
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350ºF.
- Prepare four 9-inch round cake pans by spraying them with cooking spray and set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat together the granulated sugar and softened butter until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs and vanilla to the mixture and beat again until combined.
- Mix in the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt, beating until smooth.
- Slowly pour in the whole milk while continuously beating until the batter is smooth.
- Divide the batter equally into four bowls.
- Add a different color of food coloring gel to each bowl and mix until you achieve the desired vibrancy.
- Transfer each colored batter to the prepared cake pans.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 15 minutes before flipping them out onto parchment paper to cool completely.
- To prepare the frosting, beat the softened butter and confectioner's sugar until crumbly.
- Add the vanilla extract and 2 tablespoons of milk, then beat again.
- Adjust consistency by adding more milk as needed.
- Assemble the cake by alternating layers of cake and frosting until completed, finishing with a layer of frosting and topping with sprinkles.
Notes
Ensure cakes are completely cooled before frosting to prevent melting.
