Description

This Mint Oreo Ice Cream Dessert delivers an irresistible blend of flavors with mint chip ice cream, crunchy Oreos, and luscious hot fudge. It’s easy to prepare, making it an ideal treat for gatherings or a comforting dessert at home.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (13.29 ounces) oreo cookies (about 45 cookies)
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 3 quarts mint chip ice cream, softened
  • 1 jar (12 ounces) hot fudge topping, divided
  • 1 tub (8 ounces) whipped topping, thawed
  • 1/3 cup chopped andes mints

Instructions

  1. Crush all the Oreo cookies in a food processor.
  2. Reserve 2 tablespoons of crumbs and set aside.
  3. Mix the melted butter with the remaining crumbs and pulse to combine.
  4. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9×13-inch pan.
  5. Scoop half of the softened mint chip ice cream over the crust and smooth it out.
  6. Spread most of the hot fudge topping over the ice cream, setting aside a couple of tablespoons for later.
  7. Top with the remaining ice cream and smooth the surface.
  8. Cover the pan with foil and freeze for 6 hours or overnight.
  9. Once frozen, spread the whipped topping over the ice cream layer and garnish with the reserved fudge, crushed Oreos, and chopped Andes mints.
  10. Enjoy immediately or return to the freezer until ready to serve.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use chocolate fudge topping instead of hot fudge.
Let the dessert sit at room temperature for 10 minutes before serving for easy slicing.
Feel free to substitute other flavors of ice cream if mint chip isn’t your favorite.
