Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 sticks unsalted butter (1/2 cup + 2 tbsp)
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • 2 tbsp matcha powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 3 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. Melt butter and white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl until smooth, then stir in matcha powder and let cool slightly.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, mix granulated sugar, brown sugar, and kosher salt together.
  4. Incorporate eggs and vanilla extract into the sugar mixture, mixing until fully combined.
  5. Gently fold in the flour until no streaks remain.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish.
  7. Drizzle the matcha ganache evenly over the batter.
  8. Bake for 30 minutes until the edges are set and a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  9. Cool completely before cutting into squares.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use high-quality white chocolate chips.
Be careful not to overmix the batter after adding flour to keep the brownies tender.
