Description
These Grilled Shrimp Skewers are packed with flavor and simple to make. With fresh shrimp, garlic, and lemon, they are the ideal dish for summer gatherings or a quick, healthy meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb. large shrimp, peeled and deveined, tail on
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Juice from 1 lemon, about 3 Tablespoons of juice
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon ground or cracked pepper
- ½ teaspoon sea salt
Instructions
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, sea salt, and ground black pepper.
- Add the shrimp to the bowl and toss to combine, allowing the shrimp to marinate for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
- Thread the marinated shrimp onto metal or soaked wooden skewers and discard the marinade.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and place the shrimp skewers on the grill.
- Cook the shrimp for about 2 minutes on each side or until they are pink and opaque.
- Remove from the grill and serve hot with lemon wedges.
Notes
Soaking wooden skewers in water prevents them from burning on the grill.
Adjust marination time if you prefer a stronger flavor; however, do not exceed 1 hour to avoid a rubbery texture.
Serve with a fresh salad for a light, healthy meal.
