Description

This Grilled Corn on the Cob brings the delightful taste of summer to your table. With just a few ingredients and simple steps, you can create a flavorful side dish that complements any meal. Perfect for gatherings or a quick family dinner!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 full-size corn on the cob (ears)
  • ¼ tsp oil (if using a griddle pan, otherwise optional)
  • 30 g butter or dairy-free alternative (plain/herb/garlic/chili/dulse/etc.)
  • seasoning (salt/pepper/herbs/chili flakes/etc.)

Instructions

  1. Prepare all butters and seasonings in advance based on your preferences.
  2. If the corn has husks, peel them back and remove the silk, exposing the kernels. Secure the husk if preferred.
  3. Preheat your barbecue, grill, or griddle pan to high heat.
  4. If using a griddle pan, lightly brush it with oil. Oil is optional for BBQ or grill; brushing the corn can enhance cooking.
  5. Place the corn on the grill, in the griddle pan, or under the kitchen grill.
  6. Turn the corn frequently until it becomes a deeper yellow color with slight charring. Avoid overcooking, which takes about 8 to 10 minutes.
  7. Remove the corn from heat and serve immediately, topped with your favorite butter and seasonings.

Notes

You can customize the butter with herbs or spices for added flavor.
For extra smoky flavor, grill the corn with the husk on before peeling it back.
Corn cooking time may vary slightly based on its size and method used.
