Description

Garlic Butter Lamb Chops are a delightful dish with rich flavors and simple preparation. Infused with fresh herbs and garlic, these chops are perfect for a quick dinner or an elegant meal that showcases your culinary skills.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 lamb chops
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Divide the Italian herbs into two equal portions.
  2. Season the lamb chops with salt, pepper, and half the fresh herbs on both sides.
  3. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt half the butter.
  4. Add the lamb chops to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until browned and cooked to your desired doneness.
  5. Remove chops from the pan and let rest on a wire rack.
  6. As the chops rest, add the remaining half of the butter to the pan and melt.
  7. Add shallot and garlic and heat until fragrant, about 45 seconds. Add the remaining fresh herbs.
  8. Stir in wine to deglaze the pan, stirring up browned bits of lamb.
  9. Bring the sauce to a boil and let reduce and thicken, about 2 minutes.
  10. Drizzle the sauce over the lamb.
  11. Optional: Sprinkle fresh parsley or sprigs of rosemary over the lamb chops before serving.
  12. Serve the garlic butter pan-seared lamb chops with your favorite side dishes such as roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a simple salad.

Notes

Ensure lamb chops are at room temperature before cooking for even doneness.
Let the chops rest after cooking to retain the juices.
Pair with a side salad for a balanced meal.
