Description

Crockpot Boiled Peanuts offer an irresistible flavor and simple preparation, making them perfect for gatherings or a quick snack. Enjoy the tender, seasoned peanuts in a fraction of the time for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs raw peanuts in shells
  • ¼ cup salt
  • water

Instructions

  1. Sort through your raw peanuts, removing stray shells or debris. Rinse the peanuts and soak them in cold water for about 30 minutes. Drain afterwards.
  2. Place the soaked peanuts in the crockpot and add the salt. Cover with water, ensuring about an inch of space at the top to prevent overflow during cooking.
  3. Set the crockpot to high and cook for about 7½ hours, adjusting the tenderness according to your preference.
  4. A little before halfway through, taste a peanut. If it's not salty enough, add more salt, then stir to combine.
  5. Monitor the water level throughout cooking. If it dips below the top of the peanuts, add more water to keep them fully submerged.
  6. Once tender, drain the peanuts and serve warm or store for later snacking.

Notes

Adjust salt levels to your taste preference when cooking.
These make a great snack for parties and gatherings.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge.
