Ingredients
Scale
- ½ cup (113.5 g) salted butter
- ½ cup (110 g) brown sugar
- ¼ cup (50 g) sugar
- 1 large egg room temp
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- ½ teaspoon (0.5 teaspoon) salt
- ½ teaspoon (0.5 teaspoon) baking soda
- ¼ cup (24 g) oreo cookie crumbs
- 1¼ cups (175 g) all-purpose flour
- ½ cup (90 g) white chocolate chips
- ¼ cup (45 g) mini chocolate chips
- 2 oreo cookies broken into pieces
- 2 oreo cookies for topping broken into pieces
- flaked salt for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a stand mixer, combine the butter and both sugars. Beat on medium-high speed until the mixture is light and fluffy, which should take around 2 to 3 minutes.
- Add the egg and vanilla to the butter-sugar mixture, mixing on low speed until smooth, for about 30 seconds.
- Incorporate salt, baking soda, oreo cookie crumbs, and flour into the mixture, mixing until everything is well combined.
- Gently fold in the mini chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, and two broken oreo cookies.
- Scoop the dough to form large ¼ cup balls and place them on the baking sheets. Top each with additional oreo pieces.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 11-13 minutes, just until the edges are lightly golden brown. Finish by sprinkling with flaked salt.
Notes
For a more intense flavor, chill the dough before baking.
You could substitute the white chocolate chips with dark chocolate chips if preferred.
Ensure the eggs are at room temperature for better mixing.
