- ½ cup panko breadcrumbs
- 2 Tablespoons butter melted
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish and set aside.
- Cook the rotini pasta according to the package instructions, then drain and place in a large mixing bowl.
- Add the marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, shredded chicken, 1 cup of mozzarella cheese, and ¼ cup of grated Parmesan cheese to the pasta and mix well.
- Spread the pasta mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish.
- Top the pasta with the remaining 1 cup of mozzarella cheese and ¼ cup of Parmesan cheese.
- In a small bowl, combine the panko breadcrumbs with melted butter and salt, then sprinkle over the cheese.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for another 10 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and the breadcrumbs are golden brown.
- Let the dish cool for 5 minutes before garnishing with fresh basil. Serve and enjoy!
