Experience the delightful flavor of caramelized figs topped with honey and creamy Greek yogurt. This simple and healthy dish is perfect for a quick dessert or a unique breakfast option, featuring figs, honey, and a touch of vanilla for a mouthwatering treat!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 4-inch sprig thyme
  • 3 large figs, cut in half
  • 1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 12 ounces greek yogurt, plain or vanilla
  • 2 tablespoons pistachios, toasted

Instructions

  1. Heat a medium skillet over medium-low heat.
  2. Add the honey and thyme leaves, cooking for about 1 minute.
  3. Place the fig halves cut-side down into the honey.
  4. Caramelize the figs for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Turn the figs over using tongs and sauté for another 2 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat and mix in the vanilla.
  7. Serve the caramelized figs over Greek yogurt with a drizzle of the thyme honey and sprinkle toasted pistachios on top.

Notes

Adjust the honey according to your taste preference.
For added flavor, try using different herbs like rosemary instead of thyme.
Serve immediately for the best texture and flavor.
