Description

Baked Peaches offer an irresistible flavor and easy preparation. With ripe peaches, rich brown sugar, and a hint of cinnamon, this dish makes for a delightful dessert that pairs well with ice cream. Perfect for quick dinners or cozy evenings!


Ingredients

  • 4 peaches ripe but firm, halved and pitted
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter cut into small cubes
  • 4 tablespoons brown sugar light or dark
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • Splash of bourbon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F and lightly butter a small baking dish that can hold the peaches snugly.
  2. Arrange the peach halves cut-side up in the prepared baking dish.
  3. In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the peaches.
  4. Dot each peach half with cubes of butter and drizzle with vanilla extract, lemon juice, and bourbon.
  5. Top the peach halves with the remaining brown sugar mixture.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, until the peaches are fork-tender and the tops appear caramelized.
  7. Serve warm, ideally with a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Ensure the peaches are ripe but firm for the best texture after baking.
Feel free to substitute maple syrup with honey for a different flavor profile.
