Ingredients
Scale
- 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
- 3/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 pound salmon, (4) 4-ounce filets
- 2 teaspoons spicy brown mustard
- 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped; for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F.
- In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Pat the salmon dry with a paper towel and brush 1/2 teaspoon of mustard onto each filet.
- Sprinkle 1/4 of the spice mixture onto each salmon filet and let sit for about 10 minutes.
- Place the salmon in the air fryer, ensuring there is about an inch of space between each piece. If necessary, cook in batches.
- Cook for 6-8 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 135 degrees F.
- Remove the salmon from the air fryer, cover with aluminum foil while cooking any additional filets, garnish with parsley, and serve warm.
Notes
If you prefer a spicier salmon, consider adding more mustard or a splash of hot sauce to the spice mix.
Be sure to let the salmon sit for 10 minutes after seasoning for better flavor infusion.
Ensure salmon filets are of even thickness for uniform cooking.
