Description

This Air Fryer Grilled Cheese is quick, easy, and utterly delicious. Crispy bread envelops gooey cheese, making it the perfect comfort food or quick dinner choice.


Ingredients

  • 2 slices bread (white, sourdough, or whole wheat)
  • 1 tablespoon softened butter or mayo
  • 23 slices cheese (sharp cheddar, American, provolone, Swiss, gouda, or a combo)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 370°F for 3–5 minutes.
  2. Spread butter evenly on one side of each slice of bread. Place one slice in front of you, butter-side down, and layer the cheese evenly on top, keeping it slightly away from the edges. Top with the second slice of bread, butter-side up, and gently press the sandwich together. Insert a toothpick through the center to secure it.
  3. Place the sandwich in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Air fry at 370°F for 4–5 minutes, then carefully flip the sandwich and cook for another 3–4 minutes, until both sides are golden brown and the cheese is melted. Watch closely as cook time may vary depending on the bread used.
  4. Remove from the air fryer, take out the toothpick, slice the sandwich, serve, and enjoy!
