Description

This Easy Sakura Latte combines the unique flavors of cherry blossom syrup and matcha, offering a refreshing and delightful drink. Perfect for any time of the day, this recipe features simple steps and delightful results that will please every palate.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk* (240 grams)
  • 4 teaspoons cherry blossom syrup*
  • 2 teaspoons matcha powder*
  • ½ cup hot water
  • ¼ cup cream, optional (60 grams)

Instructions

  • Sift the matcha powder in a small bowl using a fine mesh sieve.
  • Pour half of the hot water (¼ cup) over the matcha and whisk until foamy.
  • Add the remaining hot water and stir gently to combine.
  • In a jug or bowl, mix together the milk and cherry blossom syrup.
  • Fill two large serving glasses with ice cubes and pour the sakura milk into them.
  • Slowly layer the matcha tea on top to maintain visible pink and green layers.
  • Top with cream if desired, and serve.

Notes

The cherry blossom syrup can be adjusted to taste depending on your sweetness preference.
Use a fine mesh sieve to ensure an even texture in your matcha without clumps.
For a sweeter drink, opt for more cherry blossom syrup.
