Instructions
- If the chicken breasts have been pre-brined, skip to step 2. Fill a large bowl with 2 cups of lukewarm water and 1/4 cup kosher salt, stirring until the salt is dissolved. Add 2 cups of cold water to cool the mixture.
- Preheat oven to 450°F.
- Place chicken breasts in a large baking dish. Brush both sides with melted butter or olive oil. In a small bowl, mix salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika, then sprinkle evenly over the chicken.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F. For a crispy top, broil for the final 3-5 minutes, watching closely to avoid burning.
